Stork was created to make families lives easier while leaving them empowered in their own environment. After working in a clinic for several years we consistently found that families struggled with taking the skills learned in a session and implementing them at home as the tools and environment were not the same. We wanted to create something for families that took the stress out of packing up the siblings, taking the kids to daycare, or having to travel 45 minutes for an appointment that felt rushed without getting the adequate time a family deserves. With a special interest in pediatrics, another goal was we wanted to be able to get creative and have fun with the environment you already have without the need for buying a bunch of expensive accessories. Stork wants to change how physiotherapy is done while making it informative, creative, entertaining, and making sure no question is left unanswered by the end of the session.

We see a wide variety of conditions including: Torticollis, head shape, toe walking, developmental milestones, neurological conditions, strains, sprains, fractures, and general conditioning for all ages!

Nicole is a three time University of Alberta graduate and has a diverse clinical background working with infants, children, adults and seniors. Nicole sees patients of all ages and abilities ranging from infants with developmental conditions to high level athletes to seniors recovering from stroke.

Nicole has focused a large portion of her practice to becoming an expert in pediatric physical therapy and has obtained additional certification to specialize in pediatric pelvic health. Nicole loves working with families and collaborating with her patients to help them achieve their goals however large or small they may be. Nicole’s approach to treatment is hands on and puts a large emphasis on education in her sessions. Her treatment approach is grounded in evidence based best practices and includes therapeutic exercise, activity / play based exercise and manual therapy. Nicole believes in collaborative goal setting and works with her patients and their care providers to help them to develop the tools they need to self manage their concerns and conditions over time.

While Nicole loves working with patients of all ages, her favorite populations to treat are at the far ends of the age spectrum - infants/children and seniors! She loves working with kids on gross motor skills and coordination and helping our aging population to maintain or regain their strength and mobility to get the most out of life.
