Stork Physiotherapy: Personalized Pediatric Care in a Supportive Clinic Setting.

At Stork Physiotherapy, we are dedicated to making life easier for families by empowering children to thrive. With years of experience in pediatric physiotherapy, we recognized the need for a clinic space that is welcoming, family-friendly, and seamlessly integrated with other essential healthcare services.

Located within a shared clinic alongside physicians specializing in lactation, infant feeding and family medicine, Stork operates as a micro practice, offering one-on-one, highly personalized care in a quiet, private setting. Without a traditional reception area, your physiotherapist will greet you personally and guide you through every step of your visit, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience.

Our approach brings creativity and fun to therapy, using evidence-based techniques to engage children in their development. Each session is tailored to your child's unique needs, ensuring effective and engaging care.

We treat a wide variety of pediatric conditions, including:
- Torticollis and head shape concerns
- Toe walking and gait abnormalities
- Gross motor delays and developmental milestones
- Neurological conditions and motor coordination challenges

At Stork, we are committed to delivering expert pediatric physiotherapy in a clinic setting designed with families in mind. Our goal is to provide thorough, engaging, and informative care, ensuring every question is answered and every family feels confident in their child’s progress.

Nicole is a three time University of Alberta graduate and has a diverse clinical background working with infants, children, adults and seniors. Nicole sees patients of all ages and abilities ranging from infants with developmental conditions to high level athletes to seniors recovering from stroke.

Nicole has focused a large portion of her practice to becoming an expert in pediatric physical therapy and has obtained additional certification to specialize in pediatric pelvic health. Nicole loves working with families and collaborating with her patients to help them achieve their goals however large or small they may be. Nicole’s approach to treatment is hands on and puts a large emphasis on education in her sessions. Her treatment approach is grounded in evidence based best practices and includes therapeutic exercise, activity / play based exercise and manual therapy. Nicole believes in collaborative goal setting and works with her patients and their care providers to help them to develop the tools they need to self manage their concerns and conditions over time.

While Nicole loves working with patients of all ages, her favorite populations to treat are at the far ends of the age spectrum - infants/children and seniors! She loves working with kids on gross motor skills and coordination and helping our aging population to maintain or regain their strength and mobility to get the most out of life.
